Veteran marketer Emma Chalwin, who’s done multi-year runs at Adobe Systems and Salesforce, will join Accenture as its new CMO, the company announced today.
In a statement, Accenture CEO Julie Sweet lauded Chalwin as “proven growth leader who understands how to turn breakthrough technologies into compelling client value and commercial impact.”
Chalwin said she was “honored” to join Accenture and “to build on the legacy of its brand at a time when organizations are reimagining growth in the age of AI.”
Contacted for further details, an Accenture representative referred ADWEEK to the company’s existing statement.
Accenture has been without a full-time CMO since December, when Jill Kramer left to fill the shoes of Raja Rajamannar at Mastercard. Accenture Song’s Creative Strategy and Experience Lead Nick Law filled in on an interim basis.
During her decade-long tenure at Accenture, the last four as CMO, Kramer was instrumental in boosting the IT services behemoth’s value from $12 billion to $20.9 billion, landing it on Interbrand’s 100 Best Global Brands list in 2025.
Chalwin has most recently served as CMO at Workday, where she oversaw global marketing for the SaaS giant and focused on what she has termed “AI as a catalyst for success.” Prior to that post, Chalwin rose through the marketing ranks at Salesforce, going from marketing leader in the London office to San Francisco, where she ended her run as EVP of global field marketing.
Chalwin’s long marketing resume also includes roles as Adobe’s director of brand marketing for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and key positions at tech marketing firm Macrovision and McAfee.
