Aura Battles are public battles loosely organized on social media where participants aura farm against one another to determine who has more aura. Aura battles are similar in structure to dance or rap battles.
Videos of aura battles started going viral throughout August 2026 on sites including TikTok and Instagram Reels. The clips show participants attempting to farm as much aura as possible by posing, mogging, dancing, and performing in ways that are intended to make them look cool.
Origin
It is unclear exactly when aura battles began.
One of the earliest known, recorded aura battle videos was posted by the Unitel Bolivia Instagram[1] page on August 9th, 2026, garnering over 267,000 likes in three weeks. The video shows clips of a boy aura farming, surrounded by a crowd of people, by doing the 67 gesture, the rizz face, and more.
