ACT – Writing Test Reader. U.S. Flexible, part-time scoring at intervals throughout the year; essays can be scored online anytime. Read and score ACT Writing Test essays using established criteria. Bachelor’s degree or higher required. No required experience is listed; current teaching and high-school English teaching experience are preferred. Pays $12/hour or more based on performance.
Pearson – edTPA Scorer. U.S. or PR. Part-time, flexible; after 19–24 hours of initial training, score at least one portfolio weekly, with scoring available seven days. Score teacher-candidate portfolios in the content area matching your credentials and recent educator experience. Bachelor’s degree or higher required. Qualifying educator or teacher-preparation experience and recent work with teachers or candidates within five years required. Paid training generally $15/hour; accrued sick leave. Scoring generally pays $25/hour.
Pearson – CalAPA Assessor. CA. Part-time, flexible; two-day training is typically offered in February/March and may also be offered in fall, followed by at least four submissions weekly with scoring available seven days. Score California administrator-candidate performance assessment submissions using calibrated rubrics. Bachelor’s degree and a CA Clear or Life Administrative Services Credential required. At least three years of CA education-professional experience required; applicants must be current or retired within three years. Paid training $19/hour; accrued sick leave. Pays $25/hour for scoring.
Measurement Incorporated – Reader / Evaluator. U.S. Temporary, project-by-project seasonal work; most scoring occurs March–June. Score student responses in English language arts, math, science, and other subjects using project scoring criteria. Bachelor’s degree in any field or verified foreign equivalent required. No minimum experience is listed. Paid training is provided at the beginning of each project. Pay not disclosed.
Pearson – CalTPA Assessor. CA. Part-time, flexible; training generally occurs in spring and fall, followed by scoring from home. Score subject-specific California Teaching Performance Assessment submissions. No standalone degree requirement is listed on the current scoring page. Applicants must be current or retired within three years as a CA education professional and demonstrate content expertise through a credential, university teaching, or a degree. Training, calibration, and scoring are paid. Pay not disclosed.
Pearson – Education Specialist CalTPA Assessor. CA. Part-time, flexible; required training and calibration precede scoring from home. Score Education Specialist CalTPA submissions in an assigned credential area. No standalone degree requirement is listed on the current scoring page. Applicants must be current or retired within three years as a CA education specialist and demonstrate credential-area expertise through an applicable credential, National Board certification, university teaching, or a Special Education degree. Training, calibration, and scoring are paid. Pay not disclosed.
